One of the bigger news stories of the past week was the release of several WWE superstars, including Mickie James. However, it would appear that someone in the company was happy to see her gone and let her know just how they felt.
According to James’s social media accounts, a “care package” arrived at her door with all of her stuff inside of a garbage bag. You can see the posts below:
Dear @VinceMcMahon Im not sure if you’re aware, I did receive my @WWE care package today. Thank you. #AlwaysBlessedandGrateful #WomensWrestlingMatters ? pic.twitter.com/PyDC7ZC9lG

WWE COO Triple H responded to the post, letting the world know that the employee responsible for this has been dismissed from the company:
Upon learning of the disrespectful treatment some of our recently released talent received on behalf of the company, we took immediate action. The person responsible for this inconsiderate action has been fired and is no longer with @WWE.

Stephanie McMahon also chimed in:
.@MickieJames I am embarrassed you or anyone else would be treated this way. I apologize personally and on behalf of @WWE. The person responsible is no longer with our company. https://t.co/nvN4WsKC0I

According to a report from Wrestling Inc., WWE has fired their Senior Director of Talent Relations Mark Carrano. Furthermore, Maria Kanellis confirmed that she received a trash bag following her departure last year, while Gail Kim stated that the practice had been happening since before she joined the company.
We will continue to monitor this story and provide any updates as they become available to us.
Editor’s Opinion:
This is completely uncalled for in every way, shape and form. WWE claims to be a family company, but these kinds of actions say that this may not be the case. Add to the fact that early reports indicate that this is just happening to females, and it makes the toxicity involved in these incidents even higher.
