This is only a rumor for now, so take it for what its worth. According to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, Roman Reigns is out of his WrestleMania 36 match and will not be competing against Goldberg for the Universal Championship.

The report states Reigns didn’t feel comfortable doing any more of the Performance Center shows during the Coronavirus pandemic, as his immune system is still weak from his recent battle with leukemia. WWE has apparently honored this request and has pulled Reigns from the match.

Here’s what would have been:

It is unknown at this time who Goldberg’s potential opponent would be at this time.

We will continue to monitor this story and provide any updates as they become available to us.

Editor’s Opinion:

Dang, this is crazy. I knew that the recent COVID-19 pandemic has thrown a few monkey wrenches into the WrestleMania season, but I didn’t think anything like this would happen. And with WWE having to tape their show in advance due to the Performance Center being shut down, this makes things a lot more complicated. I think that the company should just say what happened, be honest about it and reschedule the match for the summer.
