Just when you think things couldn’t get any crazier, NXT continues to deliver.

It was announced on WWE.com that on June 28, NXT Women’s Champion Asuka will defend her title against Nikki Cross in a Last Woman Standing match. This match came about after the events of last week’s episode.

Asuka and Cross, along with Ruby Riot, competed in a Triple Threat Elimination Match for the championship. After Riot had been eliminated, Asuka and Cross fought outside the arena, only to return and eventually crash through a table, leaving them laid out in a heap of carnage.

Asuka has been the NXT Women’s Champion for over 440 days, and is currently undefeated in singles competition.

Editor’s Note:

This is going to be awesome. I have been a huge fan of both of these women for a long time, and know how they both can deliver when it counts. I expect a full out, intense brawl that will take the competition of the NXT Women’s Division to a whole new level.
