Another Impact star is making her departure.

Laurel Van Ness announced today that she has been granted her release from the company. It had been previously reported that she had asked for it right after she won the Knockouts championship in 2017.

She made the announcement via Twitter and Instagram, which you can see below:

The announcement reads:

THANK YOU Impact Wrestling. I will always be grateful for the opportunities I received, and the people who had faith in me. Thanks to everyone both in front of, and behind the camera, the production team, and most importantly my fellow Knockouts. I have grown as a wrestler, and a performer because of the amazing locker room at Impact. I have been granted my release, am excited for the future, and I can’t wait to see what 2018 holds.

Van Ness recently won the Knockouts championship, which you see below:

Editor’s Opinion:

While I wasn’t too familiar with her work, I was very impressed with the few clips I did see of her. With the Women’s “Royal Rumble” match coming up, could she be one of the surprise entries? We’ll see!
