According to a report from the NBC affiliate WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee, Kane will be announcing that he will be running for the position of Mayor of Knox County, on Tuesday of next week. It had been previously reported that the “big red machine” was planning to transition into the political arena.
On the initial paperwork that must be submitted, Kane, whose real name is Glen Jacobs, indicated that he will be running as a Republican.

Kane was last seen on WWE Programming on the November 29, 2016 episode of “Smackdown Live,” where he defeated Luke Harper in a singles match. He would then take some time away from the company to heal from some injuries that he had sustained.
The “devil’s favorite demon” is not the only superstar who wants to be in charge a city. It had been previously reported that Booker T is running for mayor of Houston in 2020.
