We had the unfortunate task of previously reporting that WWE Hall of Famer, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan, passed away on Sunday at the age of 73.

According to a new report from the Tampa Bay Times, Heenan passed away from organ failures that were a result of the throat cancer that he had been diagnosed with back in 2002. Although the cancer was in remission in 2004, the organs still deteriorated over time.

WWE has released a very touching tribute to “The Weasel,” which you can see below:

Raw pays tribute to Bobby "The Brain" Heenan: Raw, Sept. 18, 2017

Below are some quotes from Heenan, which were some of the favorites of his daughter, Jessica Holt:

“What happened there? My monitor went out,” he would say when cheating occurred.

Among his daughter’s favorites: “I know all about cheating. I’ve had six very successful marriages,” and, “A friend in need is a pest.”

Editor’s Note:

It’s still sad to think that this legend is gone. “The Brain” has always been my favorite commentator of all time; I think of the countless one-liners that he would give in WCW alongside Tony Schiavone and Mike Tenay. Also, exclaiming that “[Marty] Jannetty tried to dive through the window” during the infamous Barber Shop moment with him and Shawn Michaels was absolutely classic.
