Let’s get it on. Randy Orton made a surprising return to Raw tonight, challenging Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming Bash in Berlin premium live event.

From WWE.com:

Gunther won the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam by defeating Damian Priest, but his journey there included a controversial King of the Ring win over Orton in Saudi Arabia.

After Gunther won the World Title, The Viper shocked the WWE Universe by appearing on Monday Night Raw, revealing that Adam Pearce has granted him a championship opportunity at Bash in Berlin with the winner staying on Raw and the loser going to SmackDown.

The Ring General welcomed the opportunity, setting the stage for a monumental World Heavyweight Title Match in Germany.

Editor’s Opinion:

When Orton’s music hit, I almost jumped out of my chair. Seeing him back on Raw was wonderful, but more importantly, I didn’t imagine he and Gunther would get the opportunity to face each other. When I was thinking about the Raw roster, there wasn’t anybody I could see as an immediate viable challenger for The Ring General. Bringing someone over from Smackdown was a brilliant idea, and I can’t wait to see this match!
