WWE.com has posted an article outlining a very scary moment that occurred at “Payback” this evening regarding WWE superstar Enzo Amore:

Enzo Amore was injured during the tag team match to determine the No. 1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship and wheeled off in a stretcher by WWE medical personnel. The latest medical update is that Amore was responsive and moving his extremities, but was being taken to a local medical facility as a precaution and is undergoing testing.

The injury occurred when Amore, fighting The Vaudevillains alongside his partner Big Cass, looked to be sliding under the bottom rope. Instead, his face clipped the bottom rope, causing the back of his head to slam off the mat. The collision appeared to knock out Amore, who collapsed onto the floor just outside the ring.

Check back to WWE.com for the latest updates on Amore’s condition.

The match was immediately stopped by the referee, and was declared a no contest.

We will continue to monitor this situation and post updates as soon as possible.

Editor’s Note:

Obviously, this is an awful situation for everyone involved. We at Wrestling Rumors wish a very speedy recovery for Enzo Amore, and hope for all of the best for his medical condition.
