A tale as old as time.

On tonight’s episode of Smackdown Live, it was announced that Daniel Bryan will take on Big Cass at the 2018 edition of Backlash.

Smackdown Live opened tonight with Miz TV, in what we all thought would be a face-to-face meeting between The Miz and Bryan. However, Big Cass would make his way out instead, and would proceed to trash talk Bryan and say how he was going to use his powerful size to take the leader of the Yes Movement down.

After the segment, Bryan was found backstage lying on the around, appearing to have been attacked. You can see the entire segment below:

Big Cass crashes "Miz TV": SmackDown LIVE, April 24, 2018

Big Cass has been out of action since August 2017 with a torn ACL. This will be his first match back since the injury.

Editor’s Opinion:

I actually like this idea a lot. Most people thought that as soon as The Miz made his way to the blue brand, him and Bryan would immediately enter a feud. However, I think that delaying it is a great idea, and saving it for a bigger event, such as SummerSlam or Survivor Series will lead to a bigger payoff.
