The releases continue. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, WWE has released Toni Storm from her contract. This comes after she competed for the Smackdown Women’s Championship on last week’s show.
According to the report, those within WWE believe Storm asked for her release from the company. The memo that went out did not list budget cuts as the reason.
Those that I spoke to within WWE believe Toni Storm asked for her release from the company, though I'm also making an effort to reach out to those close to her. The memo that went out did not list budget cuts as the reason, as has been tradition of late.

Storm has had the opportunity to work with Charlotte Flair as of late. Check out their most recent match together:
Storm’s release is the latest of over 80 that have taken place in 2021 alone.

Editor’s Opinion:
Good lord, what is happening in WWE? Are budget cuts that bad that some of the best talent in the world is being let go from the company? Or is morale that bad that wrestlers are wanting to get away from the machine? Either way, this is another example of a really bad look for WWE, and a wonderful thing for other promotions. Toni Storm is one of the best in the world and I have no doubt that she will land on her feet really soon.
