Breaking News: GFW Suspends Alberto El Patron

It had been previously reported that GFW World Heavyweight Champion Alberto El Patron is currently being investigated for a “domestic battery” incident that occurred at an Orlando Airport over the weekend.

The company issued the following statement this morning:

Global Force Wrestling has indefinitely suspended Alberto El Patron, effective immediately, until the investigation is resolved following a recent incident in Orlando, Florida.

A witness of the entire altercation said that his girlfriend, Paige, was screaming at him and calling him “abusive.” After she threw a drink on him, Patron said out loud that Paige was carrying drugs in her bag.

What else could GFW do? They are trying to rebuild their brand and turn themselves into a reputable company again, and this is certainly not a good way to begin that journey. Having their world champion all over the news for a negative reason is NOT a good thing, and this situation may only get worse before it gets better.
