It had been previously reported that WWE recently made some cuts to their roster, releasing Emma, Darren Young and Summer Rae last weekend.

A new report from Sports Illustrated may shine some light on this recent talent dismissal.

Although Emma’s release did not sit well with many fans, it had been a long time coming. It’s no secret that she had been very aggressive about expressing her opinions on Twitter, which caused her to make some enemies on the writing staff. While the doors remain open for a return, her exit from the company is viewed by some as “addition by subtraction” in the locker room.

You can see a clip of her final match on “Raw” below:

The decision to release Emma, Young and Summer Rae was made on Friday, during Vince McMahon’s routine budget meeting. The three talents were informed on Sunday before they had to fly out for TV on Monday.

Editor’s Opinion:

Something tells me that this isn’t the entire story, but I can see how Emma’s comments on social media might have upset some within creative. Either way, I’ll always be a fan of her work and hope to see her with WWE again someday!
