The Cowboy vs. The Dragon. Prior to tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that “Hangman” Adam Page will be defending the AEW World Championship against the “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson at the upcoming Winter Is Coming event. This special edition of Dynamite will take place on Wednesday, December 15 of this year.

You can see the tweet from Khan below:

Danielson earned the right to challenge for the championship by winning the recent AEW Eliminator Tournament at the recent Full Gear pay-per-view.

The “American Dragon” has developed a new persona as of late, turning heel and targeting members of the Dark Order. He defeated Colt Cabana on last week’s episode of Dynamite, knocking out two of his teeth in the process. Next week, Danielson will take on John Silver before challenging Page the following week.

You can see what he has been up to as of late:

Editor’s Opinion:

This will be a great match, and I can’t wait to see it at Winter is Coming. My only worry is that the company will take the title off of Page too quickly, to capitalize on the momentum that they have with Danielson. I’m going to hold out hope that this doesn’t happen because Page has superstar written all over him and is one of the best things that AEW has going for them right now.
