WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s last match with the company was at WrestleMania 19 in a losing effort to The Rock.

In a recent interview with Wade Keller and the team at PWTorch, Austin teased that he may be interested in returning to the ring one more time for a match at WrestleMania 32:

I’ll reserve my right to if I want to have another match down the road – say, like, Dallas, Texas is going to be (WrestleMania) 32. Now, 31 is right down the road from me. That could be doable, but I don’t see it happening. Now, Dallas, that could be very special going back to Texas for 32. They’re going to need a loaded card to fill that house. So, I’ll reserve my right. But, am I pushing, pandering, selling, promoting? Nothing.

The projected main event of WrestleMania 31 in Santa Clara is Brock Lesnar defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns, although Chairman Vince McMahon wants The Rock in Reigns’ spot.

With WrestleMania 32 being so far off in the distance, Austin would have plenty of time to get back in ring shape for a main event match should the opportunity present itself.

Like he said, Austin is not going out of his way to petition for a spot on the card. Having his name on the marquee would go a long way towards selling seats at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, though.

QUESTION: If Steve Austin returns at WrestleMania 32, who would you want his opponent to be?

Editor’s Note

I think it’s safe to say that a majority of us would be all for Austin being in the main event of WrestleMania 32. I say main event because anything less on the card wouldn’t work. Austin vs. CM Punk would have been an enormous draw, but it looks like that ship has sailed.
