Falling short in an effort to win WWE’s “Tough Enough” series doesn’t necessarily signal the end to ones bid of becoming a superstar or Diva.

According to PWInsider.com, Zamariah “ZZ” Loupe was at WWE’s Performance Center on Monday and has reportedly signed a developmental deal with the company.

This means that all four finalists from “Tough Enough” are now with World Wrestling Entertainment. Winners Josh Bredl and Sara Lee began work this month, while Amanda Saccomanno is filming episodes of “Total Divas.”

Throughout the series, WWE officials reportedly wanted ZZ eliminated from the competition a lot earlier than he was, primarily because of his weight issues, poor conditioning, and questionable work ethic.

He was considered the least likely of the four finalists to one day earn a contract, making this news rather surprising.

Editor’s Note

A lot of this decision clearly stems off the fact that ZZ is a charismatic guy. Conditioning and execution can always be improved on, but if a man or woman doesn’t have the “it factor” to connect with the audience, then it doesn’t really matter how good an athlete they are. With his focus on the task at hand, ZZ can one day prove to be a valuable commodity. I’m sure a lot of people will be rooting for him to succeed.
