Reason for The Miz Being Named WWE SummerSlam Host

According to a report by PWTorch.com, the reason for The Miz being named the host of WWE SummerSlam 2013 is because he’s viewed as a top social media ambassador for the company.

The WWE is planning on making a big social media push for the event, which includes introducing a “Social Hub” for WWE.com, which we reported here at Wrestling Rumors earlier today.

During the event, The Miz will be wearing the new “Google Glass” eyewear, taking pictures and videos of SummerSlam to give fans an inside look of the show.
