As first confirmed on WWE’s Twitter account, a match between John Cena vs. Rusev has been made official for WWE “Fastlane” on Feb. 22 at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.

These two first crossed paths at the “Royal Rumble Fallout” show on Jan. 25. Rusev interrupted Cena’s backstage segment, which eventually led to the two nearly coming to blows.

The Wrestling Observer first reported that WWE officials were pushing for a Rusev vs. Cena match at WrestleMania 31. It’s not known whether or not a rematch will take place at the big event.

Editor’s Note

So what happens at WrestleMania 31? Do we see a rematch? Seems odd that they’d book this match for a meaningless PPV like “Fastlane.”
