WWE.com is reporting that CM Punk suffered multiple injuries at the hands of Brock Lesnar during an attack on the July 15th edition of Monday Night RAW.

The report indicates that Punk’s ribs are bruised and potentially broken after being F5’d on top of the announce table by Lesnar. He also suffered whiplash and strained ligaments as a result of the vicious attack.

There is no word yet on whether these injuries are legitimate or just kayfabe to help push the Punk/Lesnar/Paul Heyman storyline further.

Plans remain in place for CM Punk to battle Brock Lesnar in one of the main events of WWE SummerSlam on August 18th.
