FOX Comments on Ultimate Warrior Homage During WWE Raw

WWE Raw was quite lackluster during its stint in Manchester, United Kingdom. While the focus was to continue building to the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view, WWE also implemented the NXT UK brand with both Imperium (WALTER, Fabian Aichner, Alexander Wolfe, Marcel Barthel) and Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster on the show.

Initially, Seth Rollins issued an open challenge, with WWE United Kingdom Champion WALTER answering the call. The match was very competitive between the two, but Imperium interfered. However, Street Profits and Kevin Owens evened out the numbers, and it changed into a tag team match.

The conclusion of the match was Rollins giving Wolfe the Stomp, and the babyface team winning. During the celebration, Montez Ford of the Street Profits heavily shook the ropes to pay homage to WWE Hall of Famer The Ultimate Warrior.

This Ultimate Warrior homage did not go unnoticed, as FOX commented on Twitter, “THOSE RING ROPES HAVE A FAMILY!”

It was quite the funny sight for old school fans to see the former NXT Tag Team Champion go full-on Warrior mode at the end of the match. Especially, how long and intense the rope-shaking was.

As of this writing, the Street Profits do not have a match scheduled, while Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens were announced as members of the Survivor Series Team Raw, along with Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, and Randy Orton. The Raw team will face five members from the SmackDown and five from the NXT brand.
