As seen on the latest episode of Raw, Booker T is off of commentating and has been replaced by former commentator Jonathan Coachman. Booker T was previously a commentator for SmackDown, before filling other roles such as General Manager and pre-show analyst. Booker T would fill-in the role for David Otunga while he was finishing an acting role, but was kept at the position.

Recently, Graves criticized Booker T’s commentating on E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness. Grave stated that Booker is one of his favorite people he knows in the pro wrestling business, and he has taught him so much. However, regarding his commentary, Graves stated that he does not even “know how to argue” some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth.

Booker T would express on his latest Heated Conversations podcast that Graves has cost him his job on the Raw commentating team, and he is not happy about that.

“He’s a college educated young man,” said Booker. “His vernacular is a little different than mine.”

You can view some conversation between Booker T and Graves from the WrestleMania 31 kickoff show, seen below.

The conversation then took an odd turn for the worse.

“But I tell you, if I got Corey Graves into a fisticuffs, I would beat him down like he stole something. I would be whooping his a** all day long. Because that’s the thing. My thing is this – I’m a nice guy until you get on my bad side. Corey Graves, right now, I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s on my bad side, but, he’s the reason why I’m not on Monday Night Raw right now.

“A lot of people in the company thought I was going to jump on him, I was going to do something bad to him, I was gonna drag him, I was gonna take him out to the woodshed. I was gonna beat that man so bad, I was gonna beat him ’til this man said ‘please, please, just don’t beat me anymore.’ That’s how hot I was getting, that’s how close I was getting.”

As a result of what Booker T explained, WWE told Booker to “step back for a second and regroup,” which is why he was sent back to the pre-show. Booker would say that “[Corey’s] sitting there for a reason,” and added, “if I catch Corey Graves on the street, I’ma do something to him.”

While these words did seem like another Booker T promo, there may genuinely be some real animosity between him and Graves, because Booker T would further explain, “I get mean, you know, when you mess with my green. And right now, my green is being messed with.”

Booker would conclude his segment about Graves by calling him out to a fight at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
