Not only was it great to watch, but Survivor Series 2013 also triggered what would be one of WWE’s biggest decisions.

At the end of the night, John Cena was the World Heavyweight Champion, while Orton held the WWE Championship. Cena confronted Orton about who was “the real champion”. Fast forward to Raw, it was announced that the titles would be merged into one championship.

Some highlights from Survivor Series 2013 include the traditional elimination tag team match. Also, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan would team up to take on Bray Wyatt’s crew.

Overall, Survivor Series 2013 was a worthwhile show that positively altered the future.

At the beginning of this show, there were a few mediocre matches. However, as the main event approached, wrestlers tore the house down.

Mankind took on the Rock in a singles match for the WWF Championship. This event led Mankind to continue evolving into a top star.

The main event was The Undertaker vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in Buried Alive match for a right to compete in the 1999 Royal Rumble match.

All in all, the progression of the event made it one of the most underrated pay-per-views.

This pay-per-view was great because it included several future WWE Hall of Famers, most notably The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H.

Just like many other pay-per-views, the Backlash 2009 main event was the best match. It saw two veteran Superstars, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, make the crowd go wild. Another highlight was the WWE Championship match between Jeff Hardy and Triple H.

Although it didn’t receive too much prior hype, Backlash 2009 pleased thousands of fans.

One great part of this event was the amount of great rivalries, and how they were portrayed.

Matt and Jeff Hardy went head-to-head in an “I Quit” match. Later that night, Edge would face John Cena in a Last Man Standing match.

Also, there was a unique WWE Championship match between The Legacy and Triple H, Batista, and Shane McMahon. The stipulation was that if Legacy won or Triple H’s team got disqualified, Randy Orton would win the title.

With appearances from stars like Ricky Steamboat, Shane McMahon, and Christian, Backlash 2009 was a great show.

Behold, the first WWE pay-per-view of the 21st century. And as time would tell, it would be one of the century’s best.

The actual Royal Rumble match was full of legends, so there was increased viewership. Also, Triple H took on Cactus Jack in a vicious Street Fight. Whether it was a blow from a barbed wire bat or a pedigree onto thumbtacks, this match truly embodied “hardcore”.

At the beginning of the pay-per-view, The Hardy Boyz had a stellar tables match against The Dudley Boyz.

If there’s any simple way to sum up Survivor Series 2002, there’s one word: emotion.

This event also marks history, as it was home to the first-ever Elimination Chamber match. To this day, it may be the best Elimination Chamber match ever to take place.

At the time, Shawn Michaels had recently made his long-awaited return to WWE. Tension had been brewing in both Michaels and Triple H. To put it all on the line, including the World Heavyweight Championship, they destroyed one another (as well as four other competitors)  in the Chamber.

Some other highlights include one of the only women’s Hardcore matches in WWE history. This was between Victoria and Trish Stratus. All the matches were ones to please, especially the more violent bouts, making this a great pay-per-view.

This event was unique because the variety in match types. Also, it received incredible hype, and WWE was able to make it all worth the publicity.

Kane and Bray Wyatt battled in a Ring of Fire match, CM Punk, and Brock Lesnar had a brutal No Disqualification match, and there was also a mixed tag team match. And Triple H was the special guest referee for Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena.

The show saw Bray Wyatt raise to prominence, and Daniel Bryan won the WWE Championship (not for long, that is).

Although there were several shocking twists and turns, the event was another classic 2010s pay-per-view.

What’s great about this pay-per-view is WWE’s integration of legends. There were excellent matches that included absolute icons, such as Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Some important parts of the event were The Rock vs. Steve Austin (their third WrestleMania match against one another), Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship, and Hulk Hogan vs. Mr. McMahon in a Street Fight.

Also, some fairly new stars shined in the spotlight, including Brock Lesnar and Team Angle.

Throughout the entire event, the crowd was roaring, especially during the matches between WWE Legends.

This pay-per-view is arguably the best show WWE has presented during the 2010s.

`Both Money in the Bank Ladder matches were jam-packed with action. Violent usage of ladders made the two matches more enjoyable. In addition to this, they helped turn Daniel Bryan and Alberto Del Rio into top stars.

The best part of Money in the Bank 2011 was the main event: John Cena vs. CM Punk for the WWE Championship. One important aspect of the match was the kickouts, in the sense that both competitors lifted a shoulder out after multiple finishers. In this main event match, WWE almost reinvented Stone Cold’s epic WrestleMania X-7 battle with The Rock. This is especially true because of Mr. McMahon’s involvement.

Overall, Money in the Bank 2011 proved that WWE could capitalize on repeating history while also making history.

From start to finish, this event included some of WWE’s best wrestling.

On WWE.com’s “The 100 best matches to see before you die”, two WrestleMania X-Seven matches are ranked in the top 25. These two classic bouts are the triangle TLC match for the WWF Tag Team Championship, and The Rock vs. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for the WWF Championship.

Some other highlights include a vicious Street Fight between Vince and Shane McMahon, and a tremendous technical wrestling match between Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit. Also, Paul Heyman and Jim Ross had some quality commentary, specifically after the main event.

Every match seemed to have all the characteristics of skillful wrestling. With athleticism, power, and violence, this show had all the aspects of a great pay-per-view.
