Former WWE Superstar Yoshi Tatsu unfortunately has sustained a broken neck, according to posts on his Twitter account. The current New Japan Pro Wrestling star, known as Yoshitatsu made the news known in a series of tweets on Tuesday, Nov. 25. His tweets were in Japanese, but have been translated to convey his message to English speakers.

At first, the injury was most likely believed to occur on Nov. 8 during NJPW’s iPPV “Power Struggle.” Though, Tatsu would go on to note that the exact injury date was not confirmed, and it shouldn’t be “immediately” chalked up as occurring on the 8th. At the event, Tatsu faced AJ Styles, and received a “Styles Clash,” which may very well be the cause of the injury.

Later on in the night, doctors would confirm to Tatsu that he had sustained two broken bones in the neck. Additionally, it was confirmed that the injury most definitely occurred on Nov. 8. Tatsu noted that this was the first time he had been hospitalized since birth, and he has been in a great deal of pain, mixed in with frustration. The injury has also produced long nights for the international star, as he has not yet been able to take sleeping pills.

Still, Tatsu has kept his head up. He has stated that he will “never ever give up,” and has been thanking fans and friends for their well wishes and concern:
