WWE is Not Considering Jake Roberts for Royal Rumble

Three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page and Jake “The Snake” Roberts have been campaigning for the latter to compete in the 2014 Royal Rumble. In October of 2012 Roberts moved in with Diamond Dallas Page at his home in Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, Roberts has been getting sober and back in shape through DDP Yoga. Most recently, Scott Hall has also moved in with the two in order to get sober as well. The three recently joined Mick Foley on stage during his comedy show in Atlanta.

According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, despite Roberts’ and Page’s efforts, word from WWE is they are not considering putting Jake “The Snake” in the Royal Rumble at this time. WWE will probably wait until early January to even consider Roberts for the match. If anything were to happen, it would probably be a last minute deal.
