According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are reports that WWE is in talks with “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair about signing a new contract soon. WWE officials would like Flair to work a position where he can generate positive PR as well as sell new Flair merchandise. On the other side, while under contract, Flair would be advised to not associate with things that have made him money in the past like the North Carolina lottery.

After Flair’s departure from TNA, he made a return to WWE as he presented the Slammy for “Superstar of the Year” to John Cena on the December 17, 2012 edition of Monday Night Raw. After his return, Flair made a few more appearances on WWE television and aligned himself with The Miz. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion passed on his figure-four-leglock to The Miz. His last appearance on Monday Night Raw was on the March 4 “Old School Raw”
