Update on If AJ Lee Will be Punished for Michelle Beadle Incident

As we previously reported, Divas Champion AJ Lee found herself in hot water for a supposed backstage incident with NBC personality Michelle Beadle. The incident occurred at WWE’s “Tribute to the Troops” taping, which will air on NBC on December 28, 2013.

While many thought AJ would drop her Divas Championship at the TLC pay-per-view or on the “Monday Night Raw” after, she did not. According to PWInsider, she will not be punished for her actions. WWE officials reportedly spoke with both CM Punk and AJ Lee after the fact and considered the matter following their conversation.

As we reported, shortly after the incident, Michelle Beadle confirmed the incident. However, Beadle thought Lee was simply joking around with her as there were WWE officials nearby.
