Sami Zayn Fails to Win NXT Title After Billy Gunn Turn

According to Wrestling Inc, during Friday, October 18’s NXT live event, Sami Zayn challenged NXT Champion Bo Dallas to a match which put the latter’s NXT Championship on the line. Billy Gunn of the “New Age Outlaws” was the special guest referee for the match.

However, the current NXT developmental trainer did not call the match down the middle. Towards the end of the match, the ten-time World Tag Team Champion turned on Zayn causing him to lose the match and Bo Dallas to retain his NXT Championship. It is unclear whether this will lead to anything on NXT or other WWE programming down the road.
