Over the past two weeks during Monday Night Raw,  the seeds were planted for a lengthy storyline revolving around the firing of WWE superstar Cody Rhodes. On the latest edition of Monday Night Raw, Cody’s younger brother, Dustin Rhodes, returned as his Goldust character to take on WWE Champion Randy Orton. His attempt to save Cody’s career was futile as he lost the match, meaning that Cody is still fired.

F4WOnline is now reporting that another member of the Rhodes family may be making a return to WWE programming because of the storyline. The website is reporting that there has been talk among WWE to bring Dusty Rhodes, the father of Cody Rhodes, back to WWE television. Nothing has been confirmed or announced by WWE, but down the road, Dusty may be the next person to try and save the career of Cody Rhodes.

WWE Night of Champions airs on Pay-Per-View Sunday, September 15, 2013. WrestlingRumors.net will of course have full live coverage and results of the event, and you can “live tweet” along side of us on Twitter by following us @WrestleRumors.

We will also be hosting a special “Night of Champions Pre-Show” via Google Hangouts, where we want YOU, the Wrestling Rumors faithful, to join us as we break down the final card match-by-match before the big show gets underway. “Wresting Rumors’ Night of Champions Hangout” will begin at 6:00pm ET on September 15th!
