As we previously reported, WWE is doing everything in its power to make the 30th annual WrestleMania feel special, as the company is contacting all of its “megastars” from the past three decades. While he may not be a “megastar,” Shane McMahon may very well be backstage for WrestleMania XXX, reports F4WOnline.

In the website’s recent report, it is said that the feeling within WWE is that Shane McMahon will be backstage for the event, taking place in New Orleans, La. on April 6. However, there is nothing in the report regarding a special appearance from “Shane-O Mac” during the evening.

On Oct. 16, 2009, WWE announced that Shane McMahon, who was WWE’s Executive Vice President of Global Media at the time, would be resigning from the company, effective Jan. 1, 2010. From  the start of 2009, Shane was featured on WWE programming as he and the McMahon family feuded with Randy Orton. Shane’s last appearance on WWE programming was on the May 4, 2009 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” in which he was written off television after an attack by Orton and Legacy.

Editor’s Note

I could definitely see Shane McMahon being backstage for this year’s historic WrestleMania event, but I doubt Shane will be appearing during the event. However, with nearly six hours of continuous programming during the night, never say never.
