"Stone Cold" Steve Austin Will Not Be Involved in the McMahon Family Storyline

As we previously reported, there were talks that the McMahon family storyline may end at WrestleMania XXX with “Stone Cold” Steve Austin taking on Triple H. Austin would be wrestling on behalf of Mr. McMahon in the match. However, according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that idea is off the books. The idea was brought up, but nothing was ever agreed upon or set in stone. There is no word yet on why the plan was nixed, but the idea of The Rock in Austin’s role has been talked about.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter is also reporting that at one point, the idea for SummerSlam was for Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Stephanie McMahon all come together. The three would then split again later in the year with Triple H turning heel.
