As we previously reported the ongoing McMahon storyline will not have Steve Austin wrestle on behalf of Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania XXX. However, the previous report states that The Rock may be the one to wrestle on behalf of “The Chairman.” That same previous report also said the original plans for the storyline had Triple H turning heel at SummerSlam, but for now, that may not be the case.

As of now, Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that there is no word yet on if “The Game” will be turning heel at SummerSlam, as he is the special guest referee for the WWE Championship match that has WWE Champion, John Cena defending his title against the challenger, Daniel Bryan. The report from Wrestling Observer Newsletter also states that the long-term plan is for Vince McMahon to eventually turn babyface, and have a “conquering hero” take out Triple H at WrestleMania 30.

WWE “SummerSlam” airs on Pay-Per-View Sunday, August 18, 2013. WrestlingRumors.net will of course have full live coverage and results of the event, and you can “live tweet” along side of us on Twitter by following us @WrestleRumors.

We will also be hosting a special “SummerSlam Pre-Show” via Google Hangouts, where we want YOU, the Wrestling Rumors faithful, to join us as we break down the final card match-by-match before the big show gets underway. “Wresting Rumors’ SummerSlam Hangout” will begin at 6:00pm ET on August 18th!
