The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that the main event for this year’s SummerSlam will be Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. However, it looks like plans have changed.

According to Cageside Seats, WWE has just decided to change their plan for the main event at SummerSlam, and now, it could be a three way, or even a four way match for the title.

Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe will be the main event of next week’s Raw show, with the winner of the match getting a shot at the Universal Championship at SummerSlam. If WWE has changed things, and we are getting a multi-man match in Brooklyn, then this match probably won’t have a finish. In fact, don’t be surprised if you see Braun Strowman get involved, as Cageside Seats is also reporting that he’s scheduled to return next week.

If Strowman does get involved, the the Universal Championship match at SummerSlam could end up being a four way — Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe vs. Braun Strowman.
