Earlier this week, WWE revealed the first entrant into this year’s Hall of Fame class, which turned out to be former multi-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, who had been away from the company for over a decade.

Angle’s upcoming Hall of Fame induction has raised a few questions, with the most frequent one being will we see Kurt Angle have another match in WWE? For now, Angle says that his primary focus is the Hall of Fame, but he also has said that he would like to have one last match under the WWE banner.

Before his Hall of Fame announcement, fans were predicting that he’d be a part of this year’s Royal Rumble match on January 29, and now that he’s officially back with the WWE, some fans are convinced that he’ll be one of the 30 entrants in the match. Whether or not Angle appears in the Rumble remains to be seen, but WWE is at least discussing the idea, according to Cageside Seats.

The Royal Rumble will take place at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, which is a stadium that seats anywhere between 60 and 70,000 fans. So WWE needs to stack the card with big names if they hope to fill it to capacity. Of course, if Angle were to show up, it’d be a surprise. But, at the very least, we’d catch wind that he’s in San Antonio prior to the event, which would mean that he’s going to participate in the match.
