After spending several months away from the ring due to injury, it looks like former United States Champion Rusev will return to action in the very near future.

According to Cageside Seats, Rusev is expected to return to action at this weekend’s SmackDown house shows. So, we could see the ex-US Champ return to television as early as this coming Tuesday.

Prior to the Money in the Bank show, Rusev demanded a title shot at the show. However, the storyline was dropped, as WWE decided to go with Jinder Mahal as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

As of right now, it doesn’t look like Rusev and Lana will be together upon the Bulgarian Brute’s return, as Lana just recently began her first singles run on the main roster.
