We’re one year removed from Daniel Bryan’s emotional retirement, and while the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has somewhat adjusted to life as a non-wrestler, he still hasn’t fully adjusted to life after wrestling.

As of right now, Bryan is the commissioner of SmackDown, and he’s been doing a lot of stuff with The Miz, which has caused many to think that he’s coming out of retirement for a match with the ex-Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania. However, that’s not the case, as WWE still won’t clear him to wrestle. But, that hasn’t stopped Bryan from trying to find proof that he’s healthy enough to wrestle.

During a recent interview with James Delow, who hosts the Gorilla Position podcast, Bryan talked about possibly returning to the ring.

“So, if you were to ask the WWE, the answer would be ‘no’,” said Bryan regarding an in-ring return. “As far as I know, no. You know the one thing about this, in any form of entertainment or fighting, or sport, is ‘never say, never,’ right? I keep going to different things and I keep working on the doctor standpoint of it, ‘Okay, is there anything that I can do more to get cleared?’ and right now I’ve done everything I can possibly do, and so, but I still look at different things and still look at this and that.”
