I’d call it branching out. Chemistry in wrestling is a hard thing to pull off. Some wrestlers work perfectly well with each other and some just cannot make it work. For as talented as the Rock and Undertaker are, they could not have a good match against each other to save their lives. Then you get the out of nowhere chemistry like Kane vs. Albert, who had an out of nowhere good match on SmackDown in 2001. If you find someone you work well with, it makes sense to expand on it though and two people are doing just that.

R-Truth and Carmella have some of the best chemistry in modern wrestling. The two of them had a long on-screen partnership over the course of more than a year, including their Dance Breaks and several reigns as 24/7 Champion between the two of them. There is something about the oddball nature of their friendship that has resonated with audiences and WWE pushed the two of them. They have since been split onto different brands, but there was still something else for the two of them.

Ok so it wasn’t all perfect. Check out Carmella not being so nice:

Last week, R-Truth released a new song on his YouTube page featuring Carmella performing as well. The song, called Run It, was teased during this season of Total Divas, filmed earlier this year. This week, R-Truth has released a new version featuring a lyric video of the song. At the moment, there is no word on the two of them reuniting on television, though R-Truth has won the 24/7 Title multiple times since their split.

Call this version two. Check out the new video for the song:

Ron "R-Truth" Killings - Run It (Official Lyric Video) (feat. Leah "Carmella" Van Dale & J-Trx)

Opinion: I don’t know if this is going to lead anywhere for the two of them but it is certainly cool to see them still working together. This is the kind of connection that just worked between the two of them and it makes a lot of sense for them to have some fun with it. The song may not be for everyone but it is something that R-Truth has a lot of experience in and maybe it gets them somewhere new. If not, it was fun for a bit and that’s fine too.

What do you think of R-Truth and Carmella? Should they be put back together on TV? Let us know in the comments below.
